Water pumps, tanks, and irrigation

The water question is a route, not a gadget definition. You want a river, lake, or ocean to reach a field. The Automated Water Pump sits beside that water and sends it through a connector pipe to a watering drone station, a water trough, or a water reservoir. The pump page describes the machine. The reservoir, unlocked at Milestone 8 in the 0.8 track, is a large buffer. Pumps or rain can fill it, and pipes can empty it toward the farm. It is not a well. It does not create water. The search for pumping water into a tank is answered by that chain: pump, pipe, reservoir.

Before you own a pump, the Irrigation Hose waters crops by hand. Standing the mech in water refills it. 1.0 moved automation as a whole to Milestone 4. The notes do not say the water pump itself moved to Milestone 4. Treat the pump's milestone as unconfirmed and use the hose until the recipe appears.

Drone stations stopped burning fuel when Energy arrived and now draw from the global pool. A dry field with a full generator is a water problem. A wet field with a slow drone is a power problem. Those are different pages on purpose.
