Mech mods or community mods
Checked 2026-11-05 · Lightyear Frontier 1.0
The word mods is doing two jobs, and mixing them wastes an afternoon. Inside the game, mods are chips and slots on the mech. Those recipes, the 1.0 slot change, and the crafting screen are the mech-mods page. Outside the game, people mean community files, often found through Nexus. That install conversation is the other page.
For community files, follow the creator’s own page and its game-version requirements. The community-mod guide distinguishes UE4SS loader files from Paks content and explains why older installation paths can differ. Files remain hosted by their creators rather than this guide.
1.0 reduced the number of mod slots and made the remaining chips stronger, and it let you equip a mod from the crafting screen. That sentence is about the in-game system. It is not a promise that a Nexus file from 0.8 still loads.

Questions
Which mods do you mean?
If the screenshot is a crafting menu, you want mech mods. If the screenshot is a folder of files, you want the community page.
Do you host downloads?
No. Community files stay on their own sites.
Did 1.0 change mod slots?
Yes. Fewer slots, stronger chips, and mods can be equipped from crafting.
