PS5 and Switch 2 are not announced
Checked 2026-11-05 · Lightyear Frontier 1.0
No. There is no PlayStation 5 version, no PlayStation 4 version, and no Switch 2 version in the 1.0 launch. There is no date and no preorder. Headlines that put PS5 in the title are often explaining the absence. I follow the FAQ, not the headline shape.
The FAQ sentence is the whole official position I will print: they have seen the demand and are looking into porting to other platforms in the future, with nothing confirmed, so keep an eye out. Looking into is not a release window.
What did ship on 4 November 2026 is Steam and Xbox Series X|S. Xbox One is outside that list. If you own a PlayStation and want to play this week, the PC or Xbox copy is the path that exists. Crossplay cannot include a console that has no build.
