Shifting Gears on 4 June 2025 turned building from placed props into modules with an integrity system. 1.0 then added Planning Mode: you can drop holograms without spending materials, which is how you sketch a house before the wood leaves storage. Hold interact to keep feeding materials into a fence or a wall instead of tapping once per piece.

The roof efficiency bonus used to spread outward from a construct's center and often missed. 1.0 looks up from the center and the four corners, so the shape match is tighter. If a machine lost its roof bonus after the update, look at the roof before you rebuild the machine. Players search for roof collapse, and I found no official entry that defines a collapse. The honest line is that talk of collapse usually tracks integrity and support, while the 1.0 note only explains the bonus check.

The H.O.E. can lay dirt or stone paths and cut grass, and those paths can be removed. Bathroom decorations unlock after 16 deliveries. Kitchen decorations unlock after 31. Those counts are in the 1.0 building post.

Prefab saving is a different question and has its own page. Planning mode is a sketch, not a blueprint library.
