Lightyear Frontier 1.0

Version 1.0 launched on 4 November 2026. The official wording on timing is early evening for European players and early morning for players in the US. No UTC clock time was given, and Early access is a different day: 19 March 2024. Mixing those dates is how older articles confuse the search.

The FAQ price is $29.99, €29.99, and £23.49. People who already owned early access move to 1.0 free. Old saves remain. The studio suggests a fresh save for a smoother balance and does not require it. 1.0 does not carry Legacy-branch changes. The legacy page is the decision between the two.

What the launch post lists

Two new regions and a world described as about 40 percent larger, a story ending, Milestones 13 and 14, Automation Pipes in place of the Automator, automation from Milestone 4, a mech customization rebuild, seed stacking and a minigun, Skyblazer, Hover Thrusters, difficulty presets, four new crops, and 57 achievements. PlayStation 5 and Switch 2 stay unconfirmed. After launch, one sentence says at least one more large update is planned, and the FAQ says it is too soon to promise major new content.

The automation changes also add storage Resource Filters and let one Crafting Construct queue up to three Auto Craft recipes. These are distinct settings: filtering controls what storage accepts, while recipe selection controls what the crafting station attempts.
