Is there combat?
Checked 2026-11-05 · Lightyear Frontier 1.0
The store sentence I will quote is: no enemy raids, no hunger, no lost progress, no pressure. That is the purchase answer. This is not a game that asks you to clear dungeons or protect the farm from a nightly raid.
There are still hazards. Floaters and similar threats can be hit with the spike saw. 1.0 adds weak points worth 25 percent more damage when you hit them. There is no separate weapon slot and no mode select called combat. Difficulty presets can change how hard hits feel. The 1.0 notes also say tornadoes deal less damage and no longer chase you, which fits a world that stays dangerous without punishing a death by deleting the week.
A line sometimes repeated online, that combat is not a planned feature, did not show up in the posts I read this pass. The Steam sentence above is the one
Questions
Will my base be raided?
The Steam text says no enemy raids and no lost progress.
Can I hit anything?
Yes. Floaters can be struck with the spike saw, and 1.0 marks weak points for extra damage.
Is there a weapon tree?
No separate weapon system shows up in the store text or the 1.0 combat-adjacent notes I used.
