Sandswept Highlands
Checked 2026-11-05 · Lightyear Frontier 1.0
Sandswept is the new desert destination for the final part of the colony story. Its wide plains suit a large farm, while mesas and ruins create vertical routes for exploration. That is a different base-planning problem from fitting a small early homestead beside water in Outset Grasslands. The developer describes valuable late-game resources and tougher Floaters here. Being unlocked at the beginning of a save does not remove that late-game tuning. Hollow Marsh sits among the desert cliffs and has its own biome description; the two additions remain separate entries. The approximately forty-percent world expansion is the developer estimate for the two regions together, rather than a measurement of this desert alone.
